Job Description

Neo-Image Candlelight Ltd. is a family owned and operated candle manufacturing company located in Mississauga Ontario. We have been in continuous business since 1976 serving the consumer and commercial industries. We designed, manufacture and market our products through traditional wholesale channels and direct channels such as our award winning online website and our company owned retail stores under our Yummi Candles banner. We have a career opening for an experienced Dual Ticket who will work on repairing, maintaining and inspecting all mechanical equipment safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate must have strong problem-solving skills and utilize their experience to assist in a team environment. The following responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following: Job Duties: • Performs all repairs and follows the preventative maintenance schedule thoroughly and accurately to sustain optimal performance of equipment and minimize downtime. • Skills such as electrical, PLC programming, HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum, plumbing, fabricating, welding and other areas are required. • Performs change overs, tool changes and set up of production lines. • Manage/log inventory and labour reporting on a computerized maintenance program • Perform monthly inventory physical count on the maintenance inventory • Receive, organize, and account for spare parts and tools in the inventory • Explore and implement continuous improvement project to optimize plant and manufacturing efficiency • Ensures that all required documentation is completed correctly and on time. This may include daily time sheets, Pre-operational forms, Preventative Maintenance logs, and equipment monitoring, work orders, postmortem reports etc. • Operation of hoisting and lifting equipment, such as forklifts and scissor lifts to correctly position machinery and parts during installation, set-up, and for repairs • Responsible for safe operation of facilities infrastructure (boilers, compressors, process piping etc.) • Must perform all inspections, lock-out procedures as required and all accident reporting. • Responsible for housekeeping and maintaining a tidy, clean and safe work area on the floor and in the maintenance shop. Follows established cleaning protocols. • Coordinate with external contractors conducting repairs, upgrades and installations. • Must practice good communication skills with Maintenance Team Members, Production Supervisors and Management and all plant associates. Has good teamwork and inter-personal communication skills • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Health & Safety legislation, Company Joint Health & Safety Programs, and Good Manufacturing Practices, environmental policies and procedures. • Actively participate in and report all Health & Safety/Quality issues to Production Manager/QA/Management. • Attends all meetings as required • Performs other duties as required Qualifications: • 5-10+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic or equivalent • Post-secondary diploma/Degree in related field or experienced Industrial Millwright or Industrial Electrician • Background in Mechanics and Electrical, HVAC • Strong knowledge and experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice). • Administrative skills and use of basic computer software • Strong knowledge of all applicable safety codes and regulations • Ability to read mechanical blueprints, hydraulic diagrams, air schematics and electrical drawings • Drive a culture of 0 tolerance with LOTO • Strong decision making, problem solving troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills. • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and effectively meet deadlines • Excellent mechanical aptitude and ability • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn • Must be able to work with minimal or no supervision • Able to work alone and as a team member Licenses: • 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright- Required • 442A Industrial Electrician- Required • Forklift License- Required We are looking for talented individuals to join our team for a current position!
