1st Shift Electrician

Position: Electrician Position Type: Direct Hire Location: Watertown TN Industry: Automotive Manufacturing Environment: On-site | Travel Required (75% domestic plant locations) Pay: $32 - $39/hour (based on experience) Shift: Monday - Friday | First Shift | 5:00am - 2:00pm Benefits: Please note: As a Direct Hire placement, the following benefits are offered by our client: • Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance • 401(k) with company contribution match • Up to 15 paid holidays annually • $300 annual tool allowance • $150 shoe allowance • $125 safety glasses allowance • Per diem for travel • Tuition reimbursement Position Summary: Our client is a leading automotive components manufacturer supporting multiple production facilities across the region. They're hiring an Industrial Electrician to join a small, tight-knit team of 15-20 skilled trades professionals. This is a travel-heavy role - approximately 75% of the time will be spent supporting various domestic plant locations, often working alongside another electrician, especially during onboarding. Culture fit and personality are every bit as important as technical skill on this team. Position Responsibilities: • Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment including robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers • Connect power supply wires, cables, and wiring between machines and equipment • Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures; replace damaged or broken wires and cables • Test malfunctioning machinery and collaborate with production, maintenance, and tool room personnel to diagnose issues • Replace faulty electrical components including relays, switches, motors, and position-sensing devices • Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electronic components such as printed circuit boards • Replace electric motor bearings and rewire motors • Program automated machinery including robots and PLCs using robot controllers and teach pendants • Plan layout and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in facilities • Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components • Perform all duties in accordance with MIOSHA standards using required safety equipment Position Requirements: • 5-6 years of industrial electrical experience required • Journeyman electrician card preferred (not required) • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems • Experience with PLC programming and/or robot teach pendants • Blueprint reading and electrical schematic interpretation • Comfortable with 75% domestic travel, including potential extended stays at plant locations • Strong interpersonal skills and culture fit - small team environment where personality matters • Experience in automotive or heavy industrial manufacturing strongly preferred About Spark Talent Acquisition: Spark Talent Acquisition is a Michigan-headquartered recruiting and staffing company that connects great talent with great employers.
