This position requires hands-on expertise in the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across various commercial and industrial settings. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving a wide range of HVAC issues, performing preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance and longevity, and installing new HVAC equipment according to specifications. This includes working with refrigeration systems, electrical controls, and ductwork. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of HVAC principles, extensive knowledge of different types of HVAC equipment, and proficiency in using diagnostic tools and instruments. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure proper installation and repair. Test systems for proper operation, charge refrigerants, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Manage work orders, maintain accurate service logs, and document all completed work. Respond promptly and professionally to service calls and emergency repair requests. Communicate effectively with clients, providing explanations of issues and recommended solutions. Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently. Stay up-to-date with the latest HVAC technologies and best practices. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; completion of a vocational or technical HVAC program preferred. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as an HVAC technician. EPA Universal Certification is mandatory. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing all types of HVAC systems and components. Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration principles related to HVAC. Ability to read and understand technical diagrams and schematics.
