Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Pipefitter to join our dynamic construction and manufacturing teams. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems across various commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure the safe, efficient, and precise assembly of piping infrastructure in accordance with industry standards and project specifications. Duties
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble piping systems.
• Cut, thread, bend, solder, and weld pipes using various techniques including MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG welding, and welding to meet project specifications.
• Install fire sprinkler systems, HVAC piping, pipeline networks, plumbing fixtures, and other mechanical components on construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, calipers, pipe threading machines, tube benders, and rigging equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on piping systems to ensure optimal operation; conduct inspections in accordance with ASME codes & standards.
• Follow safety protocols rigorously while working at heights or in confined spaces; adhere to all OSHA regulations and project safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining high quality standards.
Skills
• Proficiency in MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, and welding techniques.
• Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Mechanical knowledge of pipe fitting components including fittings, valves, flanges, and supports.
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, pipe threading machines, soldering equipment, and tube bending tools.
• Experience with construction site work across manufacturing or commercial projects; familiarity with rigging procedures is a plus.
• Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to piping fabrication and installation.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and adjustments; understanding of schematics for system assembly.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems installation and maintenance; experience with plumbing or pipeline projects is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent attention to detail; capable of troubleshooting complex piping issues efficiently.
