Journeyman Electrician - Residential Custom Homes Experience

Job Opportunity: Residential Red Seal Journeyman Electrician Liberty Electrical Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented, high-performing Red Seal Journeyman Electrician for residential projects across Etobicoke and the GTA. The Role As a Journeyman at Liberty Electrical, you will be the lead on-site for our most technical residential projects. You’ll be responsible for ensuring every install is quality assured, code-compliant, and delivered with the premium service our clients expect. Core Responsibilities: • Custom Home Leadership: Lead the layout, rough-in, and finishing of high-end custom builds, including architectural lighting and automated systems (Lutron, Control 4, etc.). • Service & Distribution: Independently manage service upgrades (200A/400A) and complex panel change-outs. • Specialized Installs: Expert-level installation and load calculation for EV charging infrastructure, hot tubs, and backup power systems. • Project Management: Read and interpret architectural blueprints, coordinate with other trades, and manage apprentices on-site. • Client Relations: Act as a professional face of the company, explaining technical solutions to homeowners and ensuring total satisfaction. Qualifications & Skills • Certification: Valid Ontario 309A Construction & Maintenance License (Red Seal). • Expertise: Deep experience in high-end residential work. You should be as comfortable fishing wire through a finished luxury ceiling as you are wiring a new build. • Code Mastery: Comprehensive knowledge of the current Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC). • Equipment: Must have a full set of professional hand tools and a valid Driver’s License with a clean abstract. • Mindset: A "measure twice, cut once" attitude.
