Combination Pipefitter / Welder – Fabrication Shop Comfort Systems USA Southwest Comfort Systems USA Southwest is a leading commercial mechanical contractor specializing in HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems across Arizona. We are seeking an experienced Combination Pipefitter / Welder to join our fabrication shop team supporting commercial and industrial projects. What You’ll Do Layout, fit, and fabricate piping spools and assemblies from shop drawings and isometrics Weld pipe using SMAW (Stick), GTAW (TIG), and/or GMAW (MIG) per approved WPS Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper piping Safely operate shop equipment (band saws, bevelers, grinders, etc.) Maintain quality, productivity, and safety standards in a shop environment What We’re Looking For 3+ years of pipefitting and welding experience in commercial or industrial construction Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and isometrics Strong fit‑up, layout, and welding skills Experience working in a fabrication shop environment Commitment to safety and quality workmanship Preferred ASME Section IX or AWS welding certifications OSHA 10/30 Forklift or overhead crane experience Experience with hydronic, HVAC, or process piping Position Details Full‑time, fabrication shop position Occasional overtime based on workload Arizona‑based shop with limited field support as needed Pay & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience and certifications Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and training Comfort Systems USA Southwest is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
