Journeyperson Electrician

The main duties for the position consist of installing electrical systems, performing electromechanical repairs, maintaining relationships with customers, maintain logs and records of work completed, and reading blueprints. Electricians must conduct their work in line with the Ontario Electrical Code to ensure all work completed complies with the Ontario Regulations while abiding by the Deltro Health and Safety Program. Duties: • Install electrical systems • Extra Low Voltage - Medium Voltage Electrical Installations • Single Phase - Three Phase • Motor Feeders Installations • High Voltage Substations • Power Distribution Systems • Custom Control Panels • Programmable Controllers • Specialty Sensors • Variable Frequency & DC Drives • Preventative Maintenance using Thermal Scanning • Preventative Maintenance to Substations • Perform electromechanical repairs • Maintain relationships with customers • Mentor and supervise apprentices • Maintains logs and records • Read blueprints • Maintain clean worksite through good housekeeping practices Requirements: • Mathematical knowledge • 309a Construction & Maintenance License • Able to read and understand electrical prints • Troubleshoot, locate and diagnose malfunctions • Installation of conduit and wire • Must have own hand tools • Local travel will be required • Knowledge of safety regulations and electrical code • Knowledge of electrical systems • Good organizational skills • Good communication skills • Professional behavior • Good problem-solving skills • Valid Driver's License Job Type: Full-time Salary: $40 per hour Schedule: • Monday to Friday Experience: • Journeyperson electrical experience: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: • 309a Construction & Maintenance License • WHMIS • Working at Heights • 4 step awareness • Driver's license (preferred) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $43.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Ability to commute/relocate: • Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Experience: • Journeyman Electrician: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: • 309a Construction & Maintenance License (required) Work Location: In person
