Journeyman Electrician - Traveling

Join Our Team as a Traveling Journeyman Electrician! We are seeking skilled electricians to lead and execute electrical installations, modifications, and repairs across various projects, ensuring your expertise makes a significant impact. You will be vital in troubleshooting and proactively solving electrical system issues in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Position Highlights: • Uphold Gaylor Values in all responsibilities. • Adhere to Company and job safety standards (O.S.H.A.). • Comply with lockout/tagout procedures. • Maintain personal hand tools as per Company policy. • Obtain certification for operating lifts if not already certified. • Demonstrate ability to work at heights up to 90' using various safe work platforms. • Accurately bend and install various types of conduit. • Utilize knowledge of electrical systems to understand and work with switch circuits and grounding practices. • Contribute to the installation of switchgear and handle cable terminations. • Lead wire pulling efforts efficiently and safely. • Comprehend and adhere to NEC, state, and local codes. Key Responsibilities: • Report to designated job sites punctually. • Organize and maintain tools and materials for cleanliness and efficiency. • Identify wire colors accurately and interpret electrical blueprints. • Train and guide Helpers and Apprentices to meet production targets. • Conduct thorough equipment inspections, ensuring all installations meet safety and quality standards. Work Environment: • Work may involve exposure to varying weather conditions. • Must utilize on-site sanitary facilities as necessary. • Be prepared for physically demanding tasks with proper protective equipment. Physical Demands: • Ability to lift up to 51 lbs and perform various physical tasks. • Capable of using ladders and scaffolding safely. • Must have good color vision to discern wiring colors. Education & Experience: • Preferably a High School graduate or equivalent. • Must have completed an accredited Apprenticeship Program or possess six years of relevant experience. • Journeyman License required where applicable.
