At GATE Hospitality, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrician to support the maintenance and operation of our luxury beachfront resort. This role plays a critical part in ensuring all electrical systems across our guest rooms, amenities, dining venues, and back-of-house spaces are safe, fully functional, and aligned with our high standards.

Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems throughout the resort, including:
Guest rooms and suites
Spa, wellness, and beachfront amenities
Restaurants, kitchens, and bars
Pools, spas, and outdoor lighting
Event spaces and conference venues
Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure guest comfort
Respond promptly to service calls and emergency electrical issues
Troubleshoot and repair lighting, outlets, panels, and control systems
Maintain and service generators, emergency lighting, and backup power systems
Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable state and local regulations
Partner with the Engineering team to complete projects with minimal impact to the guest experience
Support renovations, upgrades, and seasonal installations (holiday lighting, special events, etc.)
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Uphold all safety procedures and resort standards
Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Engineering
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program
Minimum of 4 years of hands-on electrical experience
Strong knowledge of electrical systems in commercial and/or residential environments
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Certifications
Journeyman Electrician License (Florida county or municipality)
Valid driver’s license
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (preferred)
Current knowledge of the National Electrical Code
Preferred Experience
Experience in hotels, resorts, or large commercial properties
Familiarity with:
Pool and spa electrical systems
Kitchen and restaurant equipment
Low voltage systems
Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) or energy management systems
Strong guest service mindset with the ability to interact professionally with members and guests
Experience supporting high-end events and functions
Work Environment
Luxury beachfront setting with exposure to sun, humidity, salt air, and varying weather conditions
Extensive walking required
Work may include heights, confined spaces, and outdoor environments
Fast-paced, guest-focused setting requiring professionalism and discretion at all times
