Job Overview
We are recruiting Journeyperson Welders to join our team for a project in Northern Alberta. You will use various welding techniques (GMAW, FCAW, SMAW) to fabricate, repair, and join metal components in different positions. You will interpret technical drawings, ensure welds meet quality standards, and maintain welding equipment. Effective communication with team members is key to ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to specification.
Responsibilities
• Perform welding using RMD and Flux Core processes
• Work with materials such as P22 chrome and carbon steel
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding procedures, and specifications
• Ensure all welds meet required quality standards and codes
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Conduct equipment checks and report any issues as needed
• Collaborate with team members to meet project timelines
Requirements
• Valid Journeyperson certification
• 4 years of experience with RMD and Flux Core welding
• Experience working with chrome (P22) and carbon steel materials
• Strong understanding of welding procedures and safety practices
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• High attention to detail and workmanship
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices and procedures
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test including cannabis
