Overview
A well-established electrical contractor with more than 50 years of service in southeastern North Carolina is seeking a dependable and highly skilled Journeyman Electrician with 10–15 years of commercial and industrial experience. Our company serves Brunswick County, New Hanover County, and the surrounding coastal region, performing commercial and industrial maintenance, residential service work, equipment troubleshooting, and electrical system upgrades.
This role is ideal for an experienced electrician who excels at diagnosing and solving complex electrical problems. Many service calls involve older installations or systems without blueprints or schematics, so strong troubleshooting ability, sound judgment, and a thorough understanding of commercial electrical systems, power distribution, and three-phase equipment are essential.
Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial, industrial environments, including high voltage and low voltage circuits, single-phase and three-phase systems, including 120/208V, 120/240V, and 277/480V systems.
• Install and service panels, feeders, disconnects, lighting systems, and distribution equipment.
• Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical components such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), circuit breakers, conduits, switches, and control panels.
• Perform conduit installation including Rigid, Plasti-bond/Ocal, and Stainless Steel raceways.
• Troubleshoot motors, controls, and equipment connections.
• Work safely and in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and company safety practices.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, customers, and other trades.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company well when interacting with customers.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
