Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. This role involves fabricating metal components, welding, and assembling parts according to detailed schematics and blueprints. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in various welding techniques, and experience with manufacturing processes. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects including ductwork, structural steel, and custom fabrication, contributing to high-quality construction and industrial applications.
Duties
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication specifications.
• Perform MIG welding to join metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards.
• Operate plasma cutters, press brake machines, and power tools for cutting, shaping, and forming materials.
• Use calipers, hand tools, and machining equipment to measure, cut, and assemble parts accurately.
• Rigging materials safely using cranes or forklifts for lifting heavy components during fabrication or assembly.
• Conduct basic math calculations related to measurements, tolerances, and material quantities.
• Assemble fabricated parts according to project requirements, ensuring proper fit and finish.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Assist in troubleshooting fabrication issues and suggest process improvements when necessary.
Experience
• Proven experience in welding (MIG ) within a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and schematics reading.
• Familiarity with rigging operations involving cranes or forklifts is preferred.
• Experience operating plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and machining tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math skills essential for precise fabrication work.
• Prior work involving ductwork, structural steel fabrication, or general construction projects is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$36.00 per hour
