Journeyman Plumber – Full-Time Maxxedout Plumbing | Alberta

Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyperson Plumber to join our construction and maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of plumbing systems, construction practices, and related mechanical skills. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and building codes. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in a dynamic environment, contributing to the successful completion of residential, commercial, and industrial facilities. Duties • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in new construction and existing structures • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts • Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to perform installations and repairs • Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to facilitate project progress • Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure optimal operation • Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC technicians, and other trades to coordinate work efforts • Follow all safety protocols and building codes during installation and repair activities • Troubleshoot issues using schematics and basic math skills to determine solutions efficiently • Assist in assembly tasks related to plumbing components and systems as needed Requirements • Valid Journeyperson Plumbing license or equivalent certification • Proven experience in plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance within construction or industrial settings • Strong mechanical knowledge including HVAC systems, schematics reading, and basic math skills • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry techniques • Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for precise installation work • Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks over extended periods • Knowledge of safety standards related to plumbing work and construction sites • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment This position is integral to ensuring the functionality and safety of plumbing systems across various projects.
