Carrer Opportunity: The Smurfit Westrock Milton facility is looking for a dual licensed Millwright 433A & licensed Journeyman Electrician 442A to work as part of the maintenance team. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for the preventative, predictive and troubleshooting of production equipment. All successful applicants must be able to provide a satisfactory criminal background check and pre-employment medical. Job Duties: • Ensure that safety codes and the CEC are followed • Assess problems and make changes to existing electrical systems in order to improve performance • Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in a fast paced, environment • Repair or replace defective machinery parts • Good communication skills, both verbally and written • Must be able to work independently and be self-directed in a demanding, fast-paced production environment, adjusting to changing priorities & roles as required • Must be willing to work in a team environment • Ability balancing a variable workload • Daily use of electrical and mechanical skills to support 24hr / day production equipment.
