Allied Projects is looking for an experienced Electrical Foreman. This role is ideal for someone with strong commercial electrical experience combined with hands-on knowledge of fire alarm systems, troubleshooting, inspections, upgrades, and project coordination.
In this position, you’ll lead crews on commercial and light industrial fire alarm and electrical projects, coordinate daily site activities, and help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard of quality and code compliance.
You’ll work closely with Project Managers, customers, subcontractors, engineers, AHJs, and apprentices to keep projects moving while maintaining Allied’s reputation for professionalism, communication, and quality workmanship.

What You’ll Do
• Lead and supervise crews on commercial and light industrial electrical and fire alarm projects.
• Coordinate daily site activities, manpower, materials, scheduling, and subcontractors.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and oversee fire alarm systems including upgrades, retrofits, inspections, and deficiency corrections.
• Read and interpret drawings, specifications, fire alarm sequences, and project documents.
• Work closely with Project Managers, customers, consultants, and other trades to keep projects running smoothly.
• Coordinate with verification agencies, inspectors, monitoring providers, and fire alarm vendors as required.
• Mentor apprentices and support crew development on site.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code, CAN/ULC standards, site safety requirements, and project specifications.
• Track project progress, identify issues proactively, and help drive solutions in the field.
• Maintain a professional and customer-focused presence on every site.
What Makes You a Great Fit
• Journeyperson Electrician certification required.
• Fire alarm experience required; CFAA certification or equivalent experience considered a strong asset.
• Previous Foreman or leadership experience in commercial or light industrial construction preferred.
• Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, life safety systems, troubleshooting, and code requirements.
• Experience with inspections, deficiency repairs, panel replacements, retrofits, and system troubleshooting is an asset.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage crews, coordinate work, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Clean driver’s abstract and ability to pass security clearance screening.
