We are on the lookout for a dedicated and detail-oriented Metal Fabrication Welder Apprentice eager to develop their skills in a creative and challenging environment. Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in MIG and TIG welding of materials like stainless steel and aluminum.
• Read and interpret technical drawings to effectively understand job specifications.
• Participate in the initial layout and fitting of materials before fabrication.
• Utilize various hand tools for grinding, fitting, and finishing processes.
• Operate specialized machinery including press brakes, water jets, and sheet rollers.
• Contribute to high-quality custom metal projects with a focus on precision.
• Create and follow cut lists to optimize material usage.
• Maintain a tidy work area and adhere to all safety guidelines.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines.
• Apply problem-solving skills to tackle any fabrication challenges.
Qualifications:
• 0 - 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Basic proficiency in both TIG and MIG welding techniques.
• Ability to understand blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with metal layout and measurement techniques is an asset.
• Experience with hand tools and metal fabrication machinery is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality results.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team setting.
• Desire to learn and adapt under the guidance of experienced fabricators.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work on your feet for prolonged periods.
• Basic English proficiency is required for safety reasons.
• A pre-employment drug screen is mandatory.
Preferred Abilities:
• Experience with creating cut lists from technical drawings.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills within a fabrication context.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
