Electrical Services Lead - Red Seal Electrician

Job Overview Arctic Energy Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Services Lead to take ownership of electrical operations within Nova Scotia. This role is designed for a Red Seal Electrician with proven experience pulling permits, coordinating with the Electrical Inspection Authority (Nova Scotia Power), and ensuring full compliance with the Canadian Electrical Code and provincial regulations. You will be responsible for leading jobs from permit to final inspection, mentoring field staff, and ensuring every installation meets code the first time. Red Seal certification and direct permit experience in Nova Scotia are mandatory. Key Responsibilities: • Take full ownership of electrical scope from planning through final inspection • Pull and manage electrical permits in Nova Scotia, ensuring compliance with all provincial requirements • Act as the primary point of contact with Nova Scotia Power / Electrical Inspection Authority (ESA) • Coordinate inspections and ensure deficiencies are addressed promptly • Lead residential and light commercial electrical installations • Supervise, mentor, and support journeyman and apprentice electricians • Perform hands-on installation, service, and troubleshooting • Support installation of heat pumps, controls, and electrification projects • Plan and schedule daily work to ensure efficiency and compliance • Maintain accurate documentation, inspection records, and reporting • Promote and enforce a safety-first, code-compliant work environment Qualifications: • Red Seal Electrician – REQUIRED (applications without certification will not be considered) • Proven experience pulling electrical permits in Nova Scotia • Direct experience working with Nova Scotia Power / Electrical Inspection Authority • Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and provincial requirements • Minimum 2 years of residential electrical experience • Demonstrated ability to lead projects and manage field teams independently • Strong communication and organizational skills • Proficiency with Outlook, Teams, and Excel • Valid driver’s license with clean abstract and ability to travel within NS What Sets You Apart: • You’ve successfully managed jobs end-to-end, including permits and inspections • You are confident working directly with inspectors and resolving compliance issues • Experience with heat pump installations and electrification initiatives • Background in energy efficiency or rebate programs (Efficiency Nova Scotia) Why Join Arctic Energy Solutions: • Competitive compensation based on experience • Opportunity to lead and grow electrical operations in Nova Scotia • Consistent pipeline of residential and energy efficiency projects • Strong team culture focused on quality, safety, and doing the job right If you are a Red Seal Electrician with hands-on experience pulling permits in Nova Scotia and managing inspections, we want to hear from you.
