HVAC Service Technician – Advanced Energy Systems & Controls
About the Role
e2o Mechanical is seeking a skilled and motivated HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. This is not your typical HVAC position — you’ll work on repairs, replacements, energy efficiency upgrades, and advanced rooftop control systems across commercial facilities.
This role offers variety, technical growth, and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge energy-saving technologies supported by major Arizona utility programs.
What You’ll Do
• Diagnose, repair, and service commercial HVAC systems (RTUs, split systems, etc.)
• Perform equipment replacements and retrofits
• Execute utility-sponsored HVAC tune-ups (APS, SRP, TEP programs)
• Assist with installation of Advanced Rooftop Controls (ARC) systems
• Work with:
• • Economizers
• VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)
• EMS / Smart thermostats (Pelican systems preferred)
• Complete field documentation and commissioning reports
• Coordinate with project managers and energy consultants

Qualifications
• 3+ years of commercial HVAC experience
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience with rooftop units, economizers, and airflow systems
• Familiarity with controls, EMS, or VFDs is a big plus
• EPA Certification (required)
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred (Bonus Skills)
• Experience with Pelican Wireless systems
• Utility program experience (APS, SRP, or TEP)
• Electrical troubleshooting (low voltage controls)
• Startup/commissioning experience
