Job Description Job Title: Millwright / Electrician Location: Oakville, ON, Department: Operations Status: Full-time Hourly Work Arrangement: In-Office Hourly wage: $43 - $47/ hour We are seeking a skilled and versatile Millwright / Electrician to support our maintenance team in a high purity and corrosive manufacturing environment. This dual-role position requires hands-on expertise in both electrical and mechanical systems to ensure the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of facility equipment. The successful candidate will work primarily during the day shift from Sunday to Thursday. Key Responsibilities: 1. Electrical Responsibilities• Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment, wiring, and control systems • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in machinery and facility systems • Test and inspect electrical systems to ensure safe and reliable operation • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals 2. Millwright / Mechanical Responsibilities• Install, maintain, and repair machinery and mechanical systems • Perform alignment, calibration, and preventive maintenance on equipment • Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues and performing corrective actions • Support equipment installation, relocation, and modification projects 3. Safety & Compliance• Follow all company safety procedures, policies, and electrical/mechanical codes • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times • Identify and report any hazards or unsafe conditions promptly 4. Documentation & Reporting• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed • Assist in preventive maintenance scheduling and reporting • Support special projects or tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor Required Skills and Qualifications: • 442A or 433A license, dual ticket an asset • Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience as an industrial/millwright • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing electrical work • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, control panels, and wiring practices • Expertise in both mechanical and electrical maintenance • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, standing, bending, and working at heights if required. • Knowledge of applicable Canadian and provincial codes (e.g., Ontario Electrical Safety Code) is an asset Hiring Process Transparency: This position includes an initial automated screening step based on job-related application questions.
