Job Description
LaForce is looking for a skilled Welder to join our Metal Frame Production team.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for fabricating and assembling hollow metal
door frames using MIG welding and a variety of hand and power tools. If you're
reliable, safety-focused, and take pride in precision work, we want to hear from
you!
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:30am - 3:00pm; Friday, 6:30am - 12:30pm
Pay: $22/hr. and up based on experience.
What You'll Do:
* Weld, fit, and assemble light-gauge sheet metal frames based on shop drawings
and work orders.
* Grind and prep welds to meet quality and finish standards.
* Use MIG welding equipment, plasma cutters, grinders, saws, and other
fabrication tools.
* Move materials using forklifts and carts.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
* Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
What You Bring:
* Experience in MIG welding (GMAW) and metal fabrication.
* Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and production instructions.
* Comfortable with hand tools and material handling.
* Willingness to obtain forklift certification (we’ll train).
* Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the day.
* Must be able to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 50 lbs.
* Comfortable working with tools and equipment on your feet all day.
