Building Automation Controls Electrician

A growing HVAC and Building Automation Systems solutions provider is seeking a commercial Low Voltage Electrician with knowledge of BAS/HVAC Controls. This individual will be responsible for assisting with the installation, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of building automation systems in the greater Nashville and Southern Tennessee area. This is an excellent opportunity for junior to mid-level technicians to gain experience while being mentored by senior level technicians and benefiting from company paid training. Compensation commensurate with experience, with a range of $30-$40/hr. The position is Non-Union. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: • Possesses at least entry level knowledge of Mechanical Systems and Controls. • Able to interpret controls drawings, plans and specifications. • Able to comprehend HVAC concepts. • Maintains technical knowledge through required training and consistent review of product catalogs, specifications and dealer websites. • Assists with Design and programing of systems utilizing direct digital controls and automation systems for comfort control and energy savings. • Travel to various job sites in the region • Utilizes a variety of hand tools and test equipment and maintains tools and equipment for proper functionality. • Demonstrates ability to assist with managing time and job needs across multiple projects. QUALIFICATIONS: • High school diploma or equivalent • Valid driver's license • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial Low Voltage Electrician • Familiarity with the concepts of new construction, renovation/retrofit and service project management. • Familiarity with the operation of energy management systems, HVAC systems and temperature controls. • Tridium Niagara AX/N4 experience a plus • Schneider controls experience a plus • Customer service oriented, able to interact with and build a good rapport with customers. • Ability to effectively present information to customers and team members individually or in a group setting. • OSHA 10 or 30 (OSHA 30 Preferred) and CPR training.
