If you’re a skilled aluminum welder who takes pride in tight fit-ups, clean beads, and fabrication that holds up, we want to talk. 4D Signworx, LTD is a Houston sign manufacturer established in 1968 — still busy and growing in 2026. We’re adding experienced Aluminum Welders/Fabricators to help produce high-quality sign cabinets, frames, and structural components.
Must be able to pass a Background Check and Drug Screen. No exceptions.
What you’ll be welding & building
This is real aluminum fabrication—measured, squared, and finished. You’ll work on:
• Aluminum sign cabinets (skins, returns, frames, backs)
• Structural frames and supports (brackets, tube/angle assemblies, stiffeners)
• Fit-up and assembly work where straight, square, and clean matters
• Prep and finishing: cutting, grinding, deburring, and final QC before the job moves to paint/assembly
What we’re looking for (you)
We’re specifically looking for welders who can consistently produce professional aluminum work:
Required
• Proven aluminum welding experience (MIG and/or TIG)
• Ability to produce clean, consistent welds with minimal grinding and rework
• Strong layout and fit-up skills: measuring, squaring, clamping, and building to spec
• Ability to read and follow basic fabrication drawings and tape/scale measurements
• Comfortable using common fab tools (saws, grinders, drill press, brakes, etc.)
• Reliable, safety-minded, and able to work in a production shop environment
Strongly preferred
• Experience welding thin-to-medium gauge aluminum (sign work often isn’t heavy plate)
• Experience fabricating sign cabinets or similar precision assemblies
• Ability to troubleshoot warping, burn-through, and distortion—and adjust technique accordingly
What you’ll do day-to-day
• Weld aluminum components for sign structures and cabinets (MIG and/or TIG depending on the job)
• Perform fit-up, tack, weld-out, and final finishing to shop standards
• Verify dimensions and tolerances; keep assemblies square and true
• Work with the production lead to hit deadlines without sacrificing quality
• Maintain a clean work area and follow PPE and shop safety requirements
Work environment & physical requirements
• Fabrication shop environment (noise, dust, lifting, moving materials)
• Standing/bending/lifting throughout the day
• Ability to lift 50–75 lbs with assistance when needed
Pay, schedule, and benefits
• Pay: Competitive, based on aluminum welding skill level, Typically $30-35 an hour.
• Schedule: Mon–Fri, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm with overtime as needed
• All tools supplied by employer
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
