HVAC Technician Specialist

HVAC Technician Specialist Location: Ontario, Canada We are expanding our operations to include HVAC services and are looking to bring on a TSSA-licensed HVAC professional to support this growing division. This is a subcontractor, part-time role with flexible, project-based involvement, offering the opportunity to play a foundational role in building out our HVAC services. In this role, you will support HVAC work through hands-on installations and technical support to the internal team as the division grows. Why Join Us? / What we Offer • Be part of a new and growing division with long-term potential • Flexible, part-time involvement based on project needs • Opportunity to contribute to the development of a new service line • Pathway to a full-time role as project volume and service demand continue to grow • Collaborative and supportive team environment • Compensation will be based on experience; details to be discussed during the interview process Key responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following: Technical Support & Advisory • Provide guidance to the Project Management team on HVAC-related work • Support troubleshooting and service-related inquiries • Review project scopes and identify technical requirements Procurement & Coordination • Support equipment sourcing and supplier coordination • Provide input on materials and system requirements based on project needs Installations & Service Work • Complete installation work for assigned projects • Perform service and maintenance work as needed • Coordinate with customers throughout the installation process, maintaining clear communication and providing timely updates to ensure a smooth, and positive experience • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with applicable standards and regulations Required Qualifications: • Valid TSSA certification (G2 or G1) • Experience in HVAC installation, service, and troubleshooting • Knowledge of applicable codes and safety standards • WHMIS certification or willingness to complete training upon onboarding (provided by company) • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with internal teams • Ability to work in a flexible, as-needed environment with evolving priorities • Current driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for travel to job sites • Reliable home office setup (computer, internet, and phone) Preferred Qualifications: • Experience supporting new or growing service divisions • Familiarity with residential and light commercial HVAC systems • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment • Knowledge of the solar energy industry and related regulations As we continue to expand our energy solutions beyond solar, we’re looking for skilled professionals to help us build out our HVAC division.
