Are you an experienced electrician looking for a new role? In this role, you will use your expertise to troubleshoot, repair and maintain motors, starters, frequency drives, switch gear/distribution equipment, work with cabling and lighting systems. Based at Suncor's Commerce City refinery, the position requires strong communication and teamwork, and readiness to work. Minimum Requirements • A Colorado Journeymen Electrician's License • A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) • Ability to collaborate with different groups and functions to ensure a safe and reliable workplace • A willingness to continually learn and improve • A diversity mindset, coupled with a strong work-ethic • Dedication to the environment, as well as safe work practices Responsibilities • Isolate and energize electrical equipment above 480 VAC • Address temporary power needs when required • Work effectively even when obstacles prevent planned work from being conducted • Demonstrate standard methods and processes to complete work • Ask for input from others and incorporate their ideas into your decisions • Take conclusive action when a quick response is imperative, or under conditions of uncertainty Location and Other Key Details • You will work out of our Commerce City refinery, located at 5801 Brighton Blvd. • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, 5x8 hour shifts Monday through Friday OR 4x10 hour shifts Monday through Thursday, depending on business needs • Paid overtime, often 100-600+ hours per year based on plant needs • You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use ladders and work on elevated work sites such as scaffolds and towers with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces • This position is safety sensitive • In alignment with Suncor's value of Safety Above All Else, we conduct pre-employment drug testing, employment verification, education verification, background checks, and other pre-employment assessments as a condition of employment Hourly Rate and Compensation Details • This is a union represented position under USW 12-477 • $55.16 per hour with annual increases • Competitive and flexible employee benefits package that can be adjusted to suit the changing needs of your life, including: 3 medical options (including HSA and FSA options), 2 dental options, vision coverage, and an Employee Assistance Plan • Excellent 401(k) plan with up to a 6% vested match • Suncor-funded Cash Balance defined benefit pension plan (vests in 3 years) • Relocation support will be provided Think we are a fit?
