Night Shift Forklift Operator

Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in dock or warehouse settings within the transportation industry. • Prior forklift operation experience in a freight or less-than-truckload (LTL) environment. • Experience loading and unloading trailers. • Strong attention to detail and a desire to excel. About the Forklift Operator Position: • Expected pay range: $23.43 to $28.78 per hour, with compensation based on experience and skills. • Additional $1.80/hour premium for night shifts. • Night Shift Hours. • Comprehensive health insurance available on day one. • Life and disability insurance included. • Earn up to 13 days of paid time off during your first year. • Nine paid holidays. • 401(k) option with company match. • Education assistance support. • This position is classified as Motor Carrier Act Exempt. Typical Daily Responsibilities: • Sort, handle, load, and unload freight efficiently. • Utilize motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts. • Secure freight inside trailers using proper tools and materials. • Adhere to company safety policies while working efficiently and safely. • Employ mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments. • Work in a loading dock environment that may not be climate-controlled for extended periods. Physical Requirements: • Ability to lift freight and other objects weighing up to 50 lbs frequently and occasionally more than 70 lbs. • Capability to walk and stand for long durations in a loading dock that may be slippery or non-climate-controlled. • Willingness to bend, twist, push, pull, squat, and kneel as necessary.
