Job Title: MIG Welder and Fabricator Job Description We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team, focusing on fabricating aluminum awning frames using shop drawings and blueprints. This position requires expertise in welding, cutting, and assembling materials to create high-quality awning structures. Responsibilities • Fabricate and MIG weld aluminum awning frames from shop drawings and blueprints. • Figure materials, cut tubing, weld, and perform finishing clean-up. • Operate compound miter saw, band saw, and MIG welding machines. • Read blueprints to form and fabricate frames from the ground up. • Perform hand and surface grinding. • Measure angles on compound miter saw to cut various angles. • Utilize tape measures to achieve accurate measurements. • Work unsupervised in a small team of welders. Essential Skills • MIG welding experience, primarily on aluminum and some steel (minimum 2 years). • Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings. • Proficiency in using measuring tools and saw operation. • Capability to lift 50 pounds. Additional Skills & Qualifications • MIG welding on aluminum materials. • Carpentry experience. • Band saw operation. • Structural welding. • Drill press operation. Why Work Here? It features a small building with a showroom in the front and a workshop in the back. The workspace is non-temp controlled but quiet and relatively clean, with a team of two current welders. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
