Looking for an experienced Supermarket Refrigeration and/or HVAC Technician.
EXACT RATE OF PAY IS DEPENDENT ON EXPERIENCE/INTERVIEW.
Purpose: Responsible for the diagnosis and repair and maintenance of commercial refrigeration systems that are installed in supermarkets, convenience stores and food service establishments.
Position Responsibilities:
• Performs diagnosis and repair work on refrigeration, evaporative condensers, ice machines, water pumps, compressors, air handlers, electric motors and HVAC units. Then returns all equipment to proper operating levels with a goal of zero call backs.
• Performs preventative maintenance on the same equipment as listed above to assure optimal operating efficiencies and less downtime for the customer.
• Completes all paperwork in a timely manner.
• Willingness and ability throughout Southern California on an as-needed basis.
• Performs other related duties and projects as assigned by management.
Competencies:
• Basic knowledge of supermarket refrigeration energy management systems
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to build relationships with customers
• Demonstrated ability to achieve quality results
• Strong work ethic, self-motivated and a professional attitude
• Good driving record and valid State Driver License
• Ability to be on call on a rotating schedule: nights/weekends/holidays
• Understands the need for integrity and demonstrates awareness of ethical implications in all situations

In performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to: talk and listen, sit, stand and walk throughout the work day, use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, crouch, kneel or crawl, and must be able to climb and work on ladders, roofs and on occasion in high precarious places.
The employee must be able to work in outdoor conditions where temperatures can exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Driving long distances is required from time-to-time. Vision requirements include close, color and peripheral vision.
While on jobsites, this person must adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and protocols which means this person may be required to wear personal protective devices such as but not limited to hearing and eye protection.
This position may have supervisory responsibilities.
