Journeyman Electrician (Residential/ light Commercial)

Job Overview: Steller Electric is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5 years’ experience in electrical work and will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial and residential settings in both new and renovation type work. The Electrician will work on a construction site, ensuring the safe and efficient installation of electrical systems. Duties: • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including electrical panels, circuit breakers, and wiring systems. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical drawings to determine the scope of work. • Use power tools and specialized equipment, such as an ohmmeter, to complete tasks. • Ensure electrical systems meet safety standards and comply with local building codes. • Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance. • Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform repairs as needed. • Work on high and low-voltage systems, including electrical panels and wiring systems. • Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and plumbers, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Requirements: • Commercial and industrial electrical experience. • Knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical drawings. • Must provide own tools. • Experience working on high and low-voltage electrical systems. • Familiarity with construction sites both commercial and residential. • Must work timely and efficiently. • Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and working at heights. • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Commitment to safety and the ability to work safely at all times. • Excellent customer service and professionalism when working around or directly with the public and/or customers Schedule • Operating Hours are M-F 8am-5pm Ability to Commute: • Our main areas of service are Delaware and Franklin County and nearly adjacent areas.
