Job Description
A well-established operation in Houston, Texas is looking to add a Diesel Mechanic to their team. This role will focus on maintaining and repairing a mixed fleet of heavy-duty trucks and heavy equipment supporting daily operations.
This is a great opportunity for a mechanic who enjoys working on a variety of equipment in a production-driven environment and is looking for steady hours with overtime potential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel-powered trucks and heavy equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance including inspections, oil changes, and fluid services.
• Repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, cooling systems, and drivetrain components.
• Perform equipment inspections to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with operational standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems including pumps, cylinders, and control valves.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify electrical and mechanical faults.
• Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and repair documentation.
• Support overall fleet uptime by identifying and addressing issues proactively.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop and follow all safety procedures.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of diesel mechanic or heavy equipment experience.
• Experience working on heavy-duty trucks and/or heavy equipment.
• Strong understanding of hydraulics, diesel engines, and electrical diagnostics.
• Ability to perform general repairs and preventative maintenance independently.
• Experience performing equipment inspections and identifying maintenance needs.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must have own tools.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits:
• $35.00 – $45.00 per hour, based on experience.

Shift & Schedule:
• 1st Shift — Monday to Friday (10–12 hour days)
• Every 2nd Saturday (10–12 hour shift)
• Overtime available
