Job Summary
The Welder position will perform diversified hand welding on a wide variety of complex assemblies and structures using welding equipment to fabricate or repair products such as machined parts and trenching and shoring equipment. This position is a safety sensitive role that requires compliance with the company's drug and alcohol policy and adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
* Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job. Plans details of working procedure, and tool and material requirements.
* Fabricates equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals.
* Repairs equipment by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment.
* Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded. Sets up, assembles, and tacks weld parts.
* Repairs worn or defective surfaces.
* Uses burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and to cut material to size and shape.
* Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
* May be assigned to dismantle or cut up obsolete equipment, setting aside parts for scrap dealers.
* Completes other tasks as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
* Must sign acknowledgment of reading and understanding the Company’s safety policy and adhere to all Company safety rules and regulations.
Knowledge and Skills
* Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
* Must be willing to work hours as required.
* Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or completion of Company training program to the satisfaction of the Supervisor.
* Strong attention to detail, precision, and control.

Qualifications
1. Minimum (2) Two years welding experience
2. Ability to obtain forklift certification as required
3. Must have a valid driver’s license.
