Journeyperson Welder Where will you work: Onsite – K2, Esterhazy, Saskatchewan To carry out welding and maintenance duties safely and efficiently in an assigned area on an assigned shift. What you’ll do? Weld in all positions, using all welding processes and equipment, all metals used in the plant and fabricate according to print. Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment. Fabricate, repair and/or install chutes, pipes and structural steel members as needed to maintain the plant and production. Be proficient in the use of oxyacetylene cutting torches and cutting machines. Use all welding apparatus, and processes efficiently. Hoisting & rigging. Position mining equipment to complete repairs. Complete exams and task sheets on related equipment. Display full knowledge and use of drawings/prints/sketches and parts manual. Interpret and carry out written or oral instructions, and to make written reports as required. Diligently adhere to all relevant legal environmental requirements. Obtain CWB certification as required. Diligently ensure that all relevant OH&S requirements and in-house safety regulations are complied with. What you’ll need: A recognized valid Journeyman Welders Certificate. Four years’ experience in the welding trade, two of which must have been in industry. The knowledge to safely use all hand and power tools required.
