About the Role:
As a CBRE Plumber, you will be responsible for general preventive maintenance, repair, testing, installation, and troubleshooting of plumbing, mechanical and distribution systems throughout a facility. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You’ll Do:
• Repair, install, replace, test, and troubleshoot the water and medical gas supply and distribution system.
• Install new water systems, piping, and fixtures by blueprints, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Ensure waste and vent lines are in good operating condition using a plumber’s snake, vacuum plunger, or jet washer.
• Assist other staff members or contractors on projects or equipment installations;
• All minor and major repairs, faucets, toilets, flush valves, pressure relief valves, pressure reducing valves;
• Operate threader and or remove/replace/repair all sizes of pipe and all materials of piping. Cast, all plastic piping, stainless, black iron, copper, glass and Victaulic;
• Work on all systems but not limited to, heating, cooling, domestic cold water, pumps, heat exchangers, humidifiers, boilers, urinals;
• Troubleshoot/rebuild/replace pumps (i.e., submersible, sump, centrifugal, piston);
• Solder, braze open flame welding (from tubing to 4” pipe);
• Use a material management system to reduce waste and create appropriate inventory;
• Pricing a job, creating material list for the invoices;
• Creating invoices, sending to the office for billing;
• Complete plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices.
• Provide training to other staff members so they can perform light plumbing maintenance and repair.
• Perform general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned or directed.
• Respond to emergency situations, summoning extra help as needed.
• Follow all activity policies and procedures, always including all HSE-related requirements.
• Complete all HSE programs & activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessment, etc.
• Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management.
