Plant Operator and welder mechanic

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plant Operator to join our team in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our industrial facilities. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with heavy equipment, and the ability to handle physically demanding tasks. The Plant Operator will be responsible for managing equipment, monitoring plant processes, and maintaining safety standards to support our operational goals. Responsibilities • Operate and oversee heavy machinery and equipment used in plant operations, including pumps, valves, and control systems • Monitor plant processes to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance • Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance on equipment • Assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs or adjustments • Manage material handling tasks, including heavy lifting and moving supplies or products within the plant • Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment • Document operational activities, maintenance logs, and safety checks accurately • Collaborate with team members to coordinate daily operations and respond promptly to operational issues Requirements • Proven mechanical knowledge with experience operating heavy equipment in an industrial setting • Prior experience working in oil & gas or similar heavy industry environments is preferred • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently • Strong understanding of plant safety procedures and compliance standards • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly • Physical stamina to work in demanding conditions, including standing for extended periods and handling heavy loads • Relevant certifications or licenses related to heavy equipment operation are a plus • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications related to plant operations are advantageous Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour Work Location: In person
