Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Electrician Assistant to support our electrical team on various construction and industrial projects. This role involves assisting licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in electrical work, possess foundational skills, and be eager to learn and grow within the field. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic construction environment, emphasizing safety, precision, and technical skill development.
Responsibilities
• Assist licensed electricians with wiring, conduit installation, and system setup according to blueprints and schematics
• Use hand tools and power tools to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, and assembling electrical components
• Support the installation of low voltage and high voltage systems in compliance with NEC standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to aid in project execution
• Operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical circuits
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency on site
• Follow all safety protocols related to construction sites, including proper handling of electrical components and tools
• Support the installation of framing carpentry as needed for electrical infrastructure
Requirements
• Prior experience or training in electrical work is preferred
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams
• Basic understanding of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in accordance with NEC standards is preferred
• Experience with blueprint reading and schematics interpretation is preferred
• Ability to operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters effectively
• Construction site experience is highly desirable
• Knowledge of framing carpentry related to electrical installations is a plus
• Strong attention to detail, safety-conscious mindset, and willingness to learn on the job
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while following all safety guidelines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
