Job Description

We are looking for experienced HVAC technicians to install, repair, and maintain air conditioning systems for Simcoe Muskoka Home Comfort. A G2 gas ticket is our minimum requirement; sheet metal and AC/refrigeration tickets are an asset. Our work includes custom builds, new construction, and retrofits. Duties • Install mini-split AC systems, heat pumps, gas furnaces, and ductwork in residential settings. • Read and interpret drawings and blueprints; ensure compliance with manufacturer’s specifications for equipment. • Determine best system design, materials needed, and job tasks required. • Ensure personal and client safety by following all safety procedures and utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). • Provide and utilize appropriate hand tools. • Create positive relations with team members and clients through effective communication and problem-solving. • Create and update records and reports as required. • Actively participate in the training and mentoring of other team members. • Communicate with management on job progress. • Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic license, with 313A/313D Ontario Certification. • At least one year of experience designing, installing, and maintaining mini-split AC systems, heat pumps, gas furnaces, and ductwork for residential and light commercial systems. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Able to complete complex tasks safely and efficiently with minimal supervision. • Class G Driver’s License and clean driving record. • Additional certification as a Sheet Metal Mechanic is an asset.
