Our client, a reputable electrical contracting company, is seeking motivated and diligent Apprentice Electricians to join their team for exciting commercial projects in **Halifax, Nova Scotia, CA**. Responsibilities:
Assist journeyperson electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in commercial buildings. Pull wire, run conduit, and install fixtures, outlets, and electrical panels according to blueprints and specifications. Learn to troubleshoot electrical issues and identify faulty components. Perform basic electrical tasks under direct supervision, such as making connections and installing grounding systems. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams. Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, codes, and company policies. Maintain a clean and organized worksite. Participate actively in all required training and apprenticeship program activities. Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively. Assist with the inventory and loading/unloading of materials and equipment. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment. Report progress and any issues encountered to the supervising journeyperson.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in or eligible for an accredited electrician apprenticeship program. Completion of a pre-apprenticeship program or relevant trade school coursework is a strong asset. Basic understanding of electrical principles and safety practices. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and diagrams. Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions and environments. Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination. Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality. Willingness to learn and follow instructions precisely. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
