Welder - Production

Job Overview: As a skilled Production Welder you will be counted on to repair parts and cases at our facilities. You will operate appropriate equipment to restore mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Your job is important to ETE as it provides the foundation for strong infrastructure both in our finished product and our buildings. A welder must be competent in using potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions. You will have a steady hand and pay great attention to detail. Company Expectations At ETE REMAN, we expect every team member to: * Bring a positive attitude and support your teammates * Focus on quality and keep customer satisfaction at the center of everything you do * Follow established policies and processes, while staying flexible as things evolve * Show up on time, stay engaged, and work with passion, urgency, and focus * Aim to not only meet but exceed goals * Make continuous improvement a daily goal Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures * Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements * Set up components for welding according to specifications * Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded * Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces * Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions * Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps * Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws * Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety * Suggest improvements, help train new personnel, communicate all issues, work overtime when needed * Follow directions from team leads, supervisors and managers, be proactive and helpful * Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment, be at your workstation on time daily * Adhere to all safety rules, have great attendance and give it your all every day * Embrace ETE Reman’s Core Values  Qualifications: * Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program or three years experience * Proven experience as welder * Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (GMAW, GTAW etc.) * Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.) * Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings * Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use personal protective equipment (face-shield, gloves, mask etc.) * Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus * Must be 18 years old, high school diploma preferred, detail oriented, automotive/mechanical ability a plus * Willingness and understanding you will get dirty at times, and may have to work with chemicals * Skill and ability of working with your hands, manual tools (must provide your own) and other instruments * Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand & work on your feet for 8+ hours a day and under pressure at times * Have a Can-Do Attitude, with good time management, communication and decision-making skills * Self-starting and motivated; believe in teamwork and uphold the ability to always help others * Adhere to all safety rules, give it your all every day, must have regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
