Duties • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) systems, refrigeration units, boilers, and related mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance. • Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions. • Conduct routine inspections of property maintenance systems including plumbing, appliance repair, and air conditioning units to prevent failures and extend equipment lifespan. • Perform field service tasks such as equipment repair on-site, welding repairs when necessary, and operating tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing. • Manage ammonia refrigeration systems with safety compliance in mind, including handling components like compressors and piping. • Utilize a variety of tools and diagnostic devices to identify mechanical or electrical faults efficiently. • Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system performance for ongoing maintenance planning. Skills • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC/R systems, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing, and boiler operation. • Proven service technician experience with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues swiftly. • Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters. • Skilled in equipment repair including welding techniques and component replacement. • Experience working in property maintenance environments with a focus on air conditioning systems and appliance repair. • Valid driver’s license with a clean driver record for field service travel. • Knowledge of safety protocols related to ammonia refrigeration systems and general field service operations. • Ability to read technical schematics accurately and follow detailed instructions for repairs or installations.
