Generator Technician/Electrician

Key Generator Responsibilities: • Conduct routine inspections on generators to ensure they are in proper working condition • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing oil and filters, replacing belts and hoses, and cleaning components • Troubleshoot generator problems and diagnose malfunctions to determine the necessary repairs • Repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning parts using hand tools and testing equipment • Keep accurate records of all inspections, repairs, and maintenance performed on the generators • Provide technical support and advice to clients regarding the operation and maintenance of generators • Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working condition • Stay up to date with new developments in generator technology and attend training sessions as required • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols at all times while performing job duties * Key Electrician Responsibilities: • Install automatic transfer switches (ATS) and electrical wiring to gensets • Install wiring and conduit in commercial and residential jobs • Troubleshot electrical issues using hand tools and testing equipment to determine necessary repairs • Repair or replace malfunctioning parts • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols at all times while performing job duties • Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working condition Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent • Cummins, Kohler, or Generac certification a plus • Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintaining and repairing generators and/or 2 years of electrical experience • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail • Familiarity with testing equipment and hand tools • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members and clients • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation If you are a self-motivated, experienced generator technician with mechanical skills or electrician, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
