Responsibilities: • Diagnose, repair, and install residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including gas and electric furnaces, AC units, heat pumps, mini-splits, and package units. • Perform HVAC system change-outs and new installations with precision and compliance to local codes. • Conduct routine maintenance services, including inspections, filter replacements, refrigerant checks, and electrical diagnostics. • Identify and recommend system improvements and upgrades for clients to improve energy efficiency and comfort. • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding system conditions, recommendations, and work completed. • Complete all work orders, installation paperwork, and job documentation accurately using Armor Air’s service software and mobile technology. • Maintain a clean and safe work area in client homes, service vehicles, and warehouses. • Adhere to all OSHA and Armor Air safety standards and protocols. • Occasionally assist with plumbing and drainage tasks during integrated service calls (training provided if needed). • Be available for rotating on-call shifts and occasional emergency after-hours service. Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience as an HVAC technician or installer (residential experience preferred). • EPA Universal Certification (Required). • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. • Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs and work in tight crawlspaces, attics, and rooftops. • Strong troubleshooting skills with a commitment to high-quality workmanship. • Own essential HVAC hand tools; Armor Air provides larger equipment and specialty tools. • Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills. • Professional appearance and attitude; reliable, punctual, and solution-oriented. • Comfort with service software and smartphone-based work order systems. • Preferred: NATE certification and/or experience with plumbing or indoor air quality systems.
