2nd shift Welder

Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a Welder for a well-established manufacturing company located in Kyle, Texas. In this role, you’ll be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components, reading and interpreting measurements, and producing high-quality work to meet production standards. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, highly safety-conscious, and takes pride in producing top-quality welds. AS A WELDER, YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR: • Setting up and operating welding equipment for various fabrication tasks • Reading blueprints, drawings, and measurements to produce precise welds • Cutting, preparing, and assembling metal parts for welding • Inspecting finished welds for quality and making corrections as needed • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment • Following all safety procedures and company policies • Assisting with routine maintenance of welding equipment • Ensuring production schedules and quality standards are met WHAT YOU’LL NEED: • 2–5 years of welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment • Ability to read measurements, blueprints, and specifications accurately • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality • Highly safety-conscious and follows strict safety protocols • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Must be reliable and able to maintain a consistent schedule • Ability to pass a skills test (two weeks provided to complete a sample test) SCHEDULE & PAY: • Pay: For 2nd shift, starting pay is $19.50 per hour, increasing to $21–$24 per house after licensing.
