We are seeking a motivated and skilled Traveling Journeyman Electrician to be a part of our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation of electrical systems at various job sites, with opportunities to enhance your skills and advance your career.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
• Arriving at the project worksite on time, ready to contribute.
• Demonstrating a willingness to learn and develop your electrical skills.
• Applying essential electrical and construction principles to resolve design and development challenges.
• Ensuring all work complies with national and local codes, staying informed about the latest NEC revisions.
• Following company policies and procedures while completing assignments.
• Assisting with loading materials, digging trenches, pulling wire through conduit, and other tasks as needed.
• Building strong relationships with customers and fellow trades personnel by treating everyone with respect.
• Maintaining a clean and organized job site at all times.
• Completing required paperwork, including timecards, and submitting them on time.
• Adhering to all safety protocols and holding others accountable for safety standards.
• Troubleshooting common electrical systems, including services, feeders, and branch circuits.
• Planning and implementing efficient installations to minimize waste and ensure reliability.
• Preparing sketches or following diagrams and blueprints for wiring and equipment placement.
• Measuring, cutting, bending, threading, assembling, and installing electrical conduit.
• Traveling as necessary for work assignments.
• Splicing wires and connecting wiring to fixtures and equipment.
• Installing control and distribution apparatus, such as switches and circuit-breaker panels.
• Connecting power cables to various equipment and ensuring proper grounding.
• Observing installed equipment to identify hazards or needs for adjustments.
• Repairing faulty systems as required.
• Performing any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications:
• Must have a High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical project installations.
• Reliable transportation is a must.
• Possess a set of electrician's hand tools.
• Ability to work efficiently with hands and manage multiple tasks.
• Advanced electrical knowledge is required.
• A valid state motor vehicle operator's license with a clear driving record is necessary to meet company policy.
• Applicable state certification is required.
