Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrician, or electrician helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential and commercial electrical systems and the ability to work on diverse projects. The scope of work is new residential, residential service, small commercial, and commercial service. Experience in electrical service work and troubleshooting is most needed. The work is performed primarily in Johnson City, Washington County, Kingsport, and Sullivan County. The pay rate is based upon experience. The work week is Monday through Thursday, 7 am to 530 pm. No cell phone use or smoking except during breaks and before and after work. The hand tools needed are minimal. Applicants must be able to lift 75 lbs. and work from a step ladder. Employees must have a valid drivers license. We are a drug free work place. We offer health, vision, and dental insurance. After 90 days of employment, the following time paid off are 20 hours Christmas, 20 hours Thanksgiving, 10 hours New Years, 10 hours Memorial Day, 10 hours 4th of July, and 10 hours Labor Day. Duties
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in residential and commercial settings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters and low voltage testers to perform electrical work efficiently.
• Follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards to ensure all work is compliant with safety regulations.
• Assist in construction site activities including framing carpentry, renovation projects, and general handyman tasks as needed.
• Conduct routine inspections using schematics and electrical experience to diagnose issues accurately.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).Skills
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems including high voltage, low voltage, and control wiring.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment.
• Familiarity with the NEC (National Electrical Code) standards for safe electrical practices.
• Experience working on construction sites involving renovation or new builds in commercial or industrial settings.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently using schematics and diagnostic tools.
• Basic handyman skills including framing carpentry can be beneficial for certain tasks.

Pay: $17.00 - $26.00 per hour
