Electrical Contractor's Qualifying Agent

Position Summary The position is responsible for overseeing, supervising, and performing electrical installation, maintenance, and repair work in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. This role serves as the Qualified Individual (QI) for the company and ensures all electrical work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Key Responsibilities • Supervise and perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance • Ensure all work complies with NEC and state/local regulations • Serve as the Qualified Individual (QI) • Pull permits and coordinate inspections • Supervise electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors • Provide training and enforce safety protocols • Maintain compliance with licensing requirements • Estimate project costs and manage budgets • Coordinate with vendors and departments Minimum Qualifications • Ability to serve as Qualified Individual (QI) for a North Carolina Electrical Contractor • Strong knowledge of NEC and applicable codes • Experience in electrical work and supervision • Ability to read blueprints Preferred Qualifications • Commercial Generator and ATS Installation and Connection • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification • Experience in healthcare or commercial environments • Strong leadership skills Physical Requirements • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs • Ability to work in confined spaces and heights • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labor Work Environment • Residential, commercial, or healthcare settings • May require on-call or weekend work Additional Requirements • Valid driver’s license • Must maintain licensure and continuing education • Must have own tools Disclaimer This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, or qualifications.
