Field Service Technician - HVAC & Refrigeration

Our client, a leading provider of commercial property maintenance solutions, is seeking a skilled and dependable Field Service Technician specializing in HVAC and Refrigeration systems to join their growing team in Nashville, Tennessee . In this essential role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of HVAC and refrigeration equipment in commercial settings. Your day-to-day activities will involve diagnosing system failures, performing preventative maintenance tasks, and executing repairs according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. You will work independently, managing your schedule and service calls efficiently to ensure minimal disruption to client operations. A key aspect of this position is ensuring customer satisfaction through professional conduct, clear communication, and effective problem resolution. You will maintain detailed service records, document all work performed, and report findings and recommendations to the service manager. A strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic controls related to HVAC and refrigeration systems is crucial. Experience with various types of commercial refrigeration units, walk-in coolers, freezers, and HVAC systems (rooftop units, split systems, etc.) is required. The ideal candidate will possess excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a technical certification in HVAC or a related field is highly preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration service is essential. EPA Universal Certification is required. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment is a must. Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly are important. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
