Job Description

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Field Service Technician specializing in HVAC installation to join their team in **Edmonton, Alberta, CA**. This is a critical on-site role focused on the expert installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for commercial and residential clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical aptitude, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service. You will be responsible for ensuring that HVAC systems are installed correctly, operate efficiently, and meet all safety and regulatory standards. This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work independently in various client locations. Responsibilities: - Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation equipment. - Perform diagnostic tests to identify system malfunctions and determine necessary repairs. - Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure accurate installations. - Ensure all installations and repairs comply with manufacturer specifications and industry codes. - Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex HVAC system issues in a timely manner. - Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and parts used. - Provide excellent customer service, explaining issues and solutions clearly to clients. - Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. - Manage inventory of parts and tools required for service calls. Qualifications: - Minimum of 3 years of experience as an HVAC Technician, with a focus on installation. - Proven ability to install, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of HVAC systems. - Strong knowledge of HVAC principles, controls, and refrigerants. - Proficiency in reading technical diagrams and blueprints. - Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills. - Strong customer service and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. - Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions. - A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required. - Relevant trade certifications (e.g., Red Seal HVAC) are highly desirable.
